Optomi, in partnership with our client, are seeking a Vice President, Infrastructure Operations & Services, to join their team on a direct hire basis in NYC.

The Vice President, Infrastructure Operations & Services provides strategic and technical leadership across global infrastructure, DevOps, and database operations. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Operations & Services and manages a team responsible for supporting enterprise infrastructure across multiple regions.

This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on technical expertise — ideal for a leader who can balance operational excellence with innovation. A strong background in Azure Cloud Computing and secure-by-design principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direction for infrastructure, DevOps, and database teams while shaping long-term technology strategy and organizational structure.
Serve as a hands-on technical leader capable of supporting complex escalations and guiding architecture decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve service delivery through automation, efficiency, and ITIL best practices.
Establish and document procedures to support scalable, reliable infrastructure operations.
Investigate and resolve issues within systems and services, implementing sustainable preventive measures.
Manage team capacity, vendor relationships, and project resourcing to meet business demands.
Ensure all infrastructure activities align with risk, compliance, and audit requirements.
Partner closely with business and technology leaders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals.
Effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Build and mentor a high-performing global team, fostering collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.

Qualifications

10+ years of progressive technology leadership, including global team management and vendor oversight.
Proven success leading cloud transformation initiatives using modern Azure technologies.
Track record of improving IT efficiency, performance, and service quality.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with data-driven decision-making, ITIL frameworks, and portfolio analytics.
