Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Business and Process Analyst will serve as a key resource within the Project Management Office (PMO), collaborating across departments to analyze business needs, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The BPA may support multiple projects concurrently. This role combines the strategic insight of a Business Analyst with the operational focus of a Process Analyst.

Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

• Engage stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.

• Translate business needs into functional specifications for technology solutions.

Process Mapping & Optimization:

• Document current-state workflows and design future-state processes.

• Identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and model anticipated business benefits.

Data & Impact Analysis:

• Conduct gap analyses and assess impacts of proposed changes.

• Support decision-making with clear documentation and reporting, preparing business case content as needed.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work well with both business and technology leadership.

• Plan and facilitate workshops, meetings, one-on-one sessions, etc. as appropriate for efficient deliverable development and change adoption.

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to Records and Information Management guidelines.

• Maintain content for the Business Process Library.

Qualifications

1. 7+ years of experience in requirments gathering and analysis

2. 7+ years of experience in process mapping and optimization

3. 5+ years of experience in data analysis – home run has AI experience!
