This opportunity is for an experienced application developer to consult on and potentially build a mobile transportation platform tailored for the Jamaican market. The project centers on developing an app that enables users to sign up, browse driver listings, book rides based on location, make in-app payments, and includes an admin panel for operational management. At this stage, the focus is on understanding the technical requirements, cost implications, and development timelines, drawing inspiration from established platforms such as Uber and Airbnb. The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance on project scope, feasibility, and best practices, with the possibility of leading the full development process in subsequent phases.

Deliverables

Initial consultation to outline technical requirements and project scope
Feasibility analysis and recommendations for app architecture and technology stack
High-level project plan including estimated timelines and budget ranges
Guidance on user authentication, driver onboarding, and payment integration
Recommendations for scalable backend infrastructure and admin panel features
Documentation of findings and next steps for project initiation

Requirements

Proven experience developing mobile applications for transportation, logistics, or similar service-based platforms
Strong knowledge of cross-platform app development (iOS and Android)
Expertise in integrating location services, real-time booking, and secure payment gateways
Familiarity with admin dashboard development and user management systems
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with projects in emerging markets or similar geographic contexts is a plus
Availability for initial consultation and potential follow-up project work
Senior or expert-level proficiency in app and web development
