Background and Experience
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analysing and designing technology solutions to support Corporate Technology Integration within a major integration programme. Operating within a blended team, you will work closely with Architects, Engineers, and Service Designers to capture requirements, assess tooling landscapes, and design technical solutions that enable seamless integration and effective service delivery. You will use structured analysis, technical documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure solutions are practical, compliant, and aligned to strategic objectives.
You will:
Conduct discovery and analysis of the as-is tooling and system architecture, including ITSM, ESM, ERP, CMDB, integration platforms, and security tooling.
Capture and document technical requirements, workflows, and integration dependencies across multiple systems.
Produce artefacts such as technical requirements catalogues, system process maps, interface specifications, and data flow diagrams.
Collaborate with Technical Architects to translate business and user needs into detailed technical solutions.
Support the evaluation of tooling options, providing analysis to inform design decisions and roadmaps.
Ensure technical solutions comply with standards for interoperability, security, accessibility, and data protection.
Act as a bridge between technical and business teams, ensuring requirements are understood and prioritised effectively.
Validate technical designs and implementation outputs against agreed requirements, supporting testing and UAT where needed.
Essential Skills:
Strong business analysis experience in technical or system integration environments.
Proven ability to capture and document complex technical requirements and workflows.
Familiarity with ITSM/ESM tooling, service management processes, and integration approaches.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement across technical and non-technical groups.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with government or large-scale enterprise technology integration programmes.
Understanding of APIs, data exchange standards, and systems interoperability.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise service management, or security tooling.
