Job Title: Business Intelligence (BI) Architect – Contract

Location: Hybrid – Ottawa (1 day a week on-site)

Sector: Non-profit, Health Care

Contract Duration: 6 months (possible extension)

Pay Rate: $110–$130/hour

Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant experience required

About the Role:

Our non-profit health care client is seeking a highly experienced Business Intelligence Architect to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. This role focuses on creating data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and mentoring junior BI professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of BI strategy, architecture, and data visualization standards.
Lead the architecture and design of BI solutions and related assets with a focus on client digestible outputs.
Develop, optimize, and manage interactive dashboards, reports, and analytics assets.
Collaborate with business and technical teams to define reporting requirements and integrate new data sources.
Contribute to data governance, continuous improvement, and BI best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of BI and data analytics experience, including 3+ years in an architect/senior developer capacity.
Expertise in Power Platform is required
Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL, and data modeling is preferred
Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
BI-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Power BI, MCSE) are assets.
