Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer for a full-time onsite position based in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end software development projects, architect and implement microservices, and ensure scalable, high-performance applications using Java and the Spring Framework. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers to deliver quality, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage software development initiatives from concept to deployment.
Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices applications.
Utilize the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.) for scalable architecture.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Review code, provide mentorship, and guide junior team members.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance system performance.
Adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience in Java Application Development.
7+ years of proven experience in the Healthcare Provider domain.
Strong proficiency in Software Development and Programming.
Expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, etc.).
Solid understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership abilities.
