AI Prompt Engineer
Location: UK
Rate: £400.00 Outside IR35
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient AI Prompt Engineer to spearhead the development and optimisation of prompts for advanced platforms such as DealCloud, Filament Sifter, and Capsa. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with generative AI technologies, leveraging their skills to significantly enhance user interactions and outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with leading AI vendors to ensure optimal prompt performance and foster innovation. In addition to prompt engineering, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting chatbot development and integrating AI-driven insights into enterprise workflows and interactive dashboards, thereby driving efficiency and improving decision-making processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and refine high-quality prompts tailored for DealCloud, Filament Sifter, and Capsa use cases.
Work closely with AI vendors such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity to enhance prompt performance and relevance.
Support the design and implementation of AI-powered chatbots within DealCloud to improve user interaction and automation.
Collaborate with data engineers and visualisation specialists to embed AI-driven insights into dashboards and business workflows.
Continuously monitor and improve prompt effectiveness, ensuring contextual accuracy and user satisfaction.
Maintain clear documentation of prompt logic, use cases, and integration strategies.
Skills and Experience:
More than 3 years of experience in AI, NLP, or prompt engineering.
Proven track record of designing and optimising prompts for LLMs such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity.
Strong understanding of generative AI principles, prompt chaining, context window management, and token efficiency.
Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
Experience integrating AI into enterprise platforms such as DealCloud, Salesforce, or similar CRMs.
Understanding of workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, n8n, Make) and dashboarding platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Hands-on experience in chatbot development and conversational UI design is a plus.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and SDKs for integrating LLMs into enterprise platforms.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
Ability to translate business requirements into prompt strategies and AI-driven solutions.
Familiarity with Capsa and Filament Sifter platforms is a strong plus.
Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
Strong documentation skills for prompt libraries, use cases, and performance metrics.
Experience collaborating with external AI vendors and managing technical partnerships.
Understanding of ethical AI principles, bias mitigation, and responsible AI deployment.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and secure data handling practises.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently.
