Automation Tester

6 Month Contract

Location: Home / Newport Pagnell (2 days a week onsite)

Rate: £300 per day (Inside IR35)

We're looking to recruit an Automation Tester on an initial 6 month contract for a leading organisation based in Newport Pagnell. You'll work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and End Users to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software systems.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of automated and manual testing activities, ensuring quality across web applications and performance-critical systems.

This is a hybrid role and you will be required to work 2 days a week onsite in Newport Pagnell.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts across a range of interactive, data-driven websites.
Gather requirements, create detailed test plans and ensure compliance with defined standards and UAT/ISO processes.
Conduct performance, stress and load testing using tools such as JMeter.
Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines using Git and CI tools.
Create and maintain high-quality test documentation throughout the test lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with developers to identify, report and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Follow recognised web standards for security, resilience and performance.

Key Skills & Experience

5+ years' experience in systems testing (manual and automation).
2+ years' experience in performance, stress and load testing (using JMeter or similar).
Strong automation experience using Java / JavaScript with Selenium or Webdriver.IO.
Experience with Cucumber BDD frameworks.
Good SQL skills, including creating and managing tables.
Experience testing interactive, data-driven websites.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project and test management.
Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
