Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the Telecommunications industry, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer for their campus near the Atlanta Airport. The right candidate will have experience in Juniper, VXLAN, Fortinet, and ideally AWS networking.
Responsbilities:
Provides operational support for data center, networking (including wireless), firewall, and application distribution.
Hybrid role supporting a client’s 11-building business campus in Atlanta, GA.
Responsible for supporting Juniper (VXLAN topology), Mist wireless, and Fortinet firewalls.
SD-WAN and AWS/cloud networking are emerging focuses.
Must perform occasional night/weekend upgrades.
After an onboarding/training period of getting up to speed, the expectation would be on site 2-3 days per week.
Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with Juniper switching and routing (VXLAN topology).
Fortinet firewall administration (NSE 3–7 preferred).
Wireless networking (Mist).
Experience troubleshooting multi-protocol, switched and routed enterprise networks.
Deep understanding of VLAN, VXLAN, STP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, static routing, route redistribution, summarization, and policy routing.
Working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IPsec tunnels, and network security.
Experience with packet tracing tools, SNMP, Netflow, IPSLA.
Knowledge of HSRP, DNS, NAT, HTTP, SSH, FTP, TFTP, etc.
