Location: On-site in Schaumburg, IL 60173. Will be traveling to Woodridge office once a week.

Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, On-site.

About the Role

We’re partnering with a growing manufacturer that’s adding a new Security Administrator to the team. This position opened up because of growth, not turnover, and you’ll be joining a solid IT and security group that’s building out their capabilities. You’ll report to the Director of Information Security and work closely with three other engineers and two corporate security analysts.

It’s a mix of hands-on monitoring, auditing systems, responding to alerts, and helping roll out new security tools and projects. You’ll also pitch in on network management, software support, email security, and identity management when needed.

What You’ll Do

Keep an eye on SOC operations and respond to alerts
Audit systems to make sure everything’s running the way it should
Help implement new tools, controls, and processes
Support network, software, and email systems
Coordinate with third-party vendors and follow up on security issues
Do regular health checks on security tools and share metrics like phishing counts and endpoint coverage
Use Rapid7 or similar tools for vulnerability management
Analyze logs and SIEM data to spot and fix issues early

Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, Rapid7, Cisco Meraki, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Splunk

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience as a Security Administrator or similar role
Strong experience with SIEM tools and log analysis
Solid background with Microsoft technologies (O365, Azure AD, Windows Server)
Experience with Rapid7, Splunk, or similar platforms
Strong organizational and communication skills
Security or IT-related degree is a big plus
