Mainframe Developer

Remote Role (Preferred Burlington/Durham, NC)

7 months

Day-to-Day:

Analyze technical and business requirements documents
Code, test, and debug mainframe applications (primarily COBOL batch)
Perform unit and QA/UAT support
Participate in team meetings and provide status updates
Conduct production research for assigned tickets (via SBM system)
Deliver timely and accurate project outputs
Collaborate effectively with SMEs and project stakeholders

Skill Set

COBOL (IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS)
JCL
DB2/SQL
VSAM File Processing
TSO/ISPF
Research, Analysis & Debugging skills
Documentation of technical specs, unit test plan and test summary
MS Windows/MS Office 365/MS Teams
Able to work 8:00AM-5:00PM EST.
Works well individually and as part of a team
