Job title: Site Reliability Engineer (W2)
Role Summary:
Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining highly available, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure for a regulated healthcare environment. Owns infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of reliability and performance.
Expectations:
* Deliver fast, reliable cloud services in compliance with SOC II and ePHI standards.
* Enforce automation, observability, and security best practices across all systems.
* Collaborate across development, operations, security, and compliance teams to continuously improve scalability and resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and provision scalable, secure AWS/Azure environments using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
* Implement, configure, and refine Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana for full-stack monitoring and alerting.
* Develop and maintain dashboards, runbooks, and incident playbooks; lead on‑call rotations and post‑mortems.
* Optimize performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and drive architecture improvements.
* Integrate CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
* Ensure compliance with healthcare data security requirements; execute encryption, IAM controls, and regular audits.
Required Skills:
* 3+ years SRE experience on AWS and/or Azure.
* Proficient with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, TypeScript, PowerShell, or Go‑Lang.
* Strong experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
* Capable of container orchestration and management (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Knowledge of automation and configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
* Experience with healthcare security and compliance (SOC II, ePHI) – highly desirable.
Required Education & Certifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) highly preferred.
