Role description

We’re looking for a full stack Software Engineer to help us build and scale our core platform. You’ll work across the stack developing everything from frontend components to backend services and infrastructure. As part of a small, high-performing team, you’ll take on meaningful technical ownership, contribute to foundational systems, and help shape the future of a category-defining product.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable, high-quality web applications and services across the stack
Develop APIs and backend systems that power our customer-facing features and internal tools
Contribute to infrastructure and tooling that supports continuous deployment, monitoring, and scalability
Collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, and product leaders to iterate quickly and deliver impactful features
Help define and implement engineering best practices as we grow

Qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Experience with full stack development—ideally with technologies like Python, React, and AWS
Strong backend and API development skills
Familiarity with modern infrastructure and DevOps practices (CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)
Comfort working in fast-paced, early-stage environments
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Based in or willing to relocate to the Seattle area
Previous experience at a startup or in an early engineering team (not required, but a plus)
Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, or climate-related data (not required, but a plus)

Compensation includes a generous equity grant, benefits and a salary range of $140,000 - $165,000. Please note the Muir team work on-site at our office in downtown Seattle.
