Owner’s Engineering Lead

Contract duration: December 2025- July 2026
Location: Hybrid- 3 days on site in Kincardine, ON.
Pay range: $80.00- $120.00 per hour/ INC

Role Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in the successful implementation of a system replacement project, providing oversight of scope, cost, and schedule, and ensuring effective coordination with the System Integrator and key stakeholders. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth transition from the existing system to the new tool while maintaining alignment with project objectives and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide oversight and governance of the System Integrator responsible for configuring the new tool, ensuring delivery meets project scope, budget, and timeline objectives.
Lead and manage a decision-making sub-committee to support effective project governance and issue resolution.
Plan and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring end-user requirements are validated and documented.
Support the preparation and delivery of governance and training updates to all impacted business groups.
Develop and implement a comprehensive transition and cutover strategy to manage data extraction, transformation, and migration from the existing system to the new platform.

Qualifications and Experience

Intermediate Level: 3–5 years of relevant experience
Senior Level: 7–9 years of relevant experience
Proven ability to analyze complex problems, develop solutions, and work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Previous experience within the nuclear industry is strongly preferred.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances.
