Oliver James has partnered with a Fortune 500 financial services organization seeking a Senior Salesforce Data Integration Engineer to lead enterprise-scale Salesforce integration and data architecture initiatives.
This role sits at the intersection of Salesforce engineering, data integration, and enterprise architecture - ideal for someone who can design and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance data flows across a complex ecosystem.
About the Role
As a Salesforce Data Integration Engineer / Architect, you'll design, build, and optimize integrations between Salesforce and a range of enterprise systems, data warehouses, and third-party platforms. You'll drive the architecture for seamless data movement across the firm's CRM, marketing, and analytics platforms - ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and compliant.
You'll partner with Salesforce admins, developers, and data engineers to create a unified data fabric supporting advanced analytics, client servicing, and digital transformation across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable Salesforce integration architectures connecting systems like Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud.
Define and deliver integration patterns (real-time, batch, event-driven, API-led, or ETL).
Build and maintain data pipelines between Salesforce and cloud/on-prem data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
Implement integrations using Salesforce APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Streaming APIs.
Ensure robust data governance, quality, and compliance across all integrations.
Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align integration solutions with business needs.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and documentation of integration standards and data flows.
What You'll Bring
10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years delivering enterprise-level data integration projects.
Deep experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming, Metadata).
Hands-on work with Salesforce Cloud products (Service, Experience, Marketing, Data Cloud) and AgentForce.
Expertise with integration/middleware tools (MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway, etc.) and ETL/ELT processes.
Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehouses (Snowflake).
Understanding of API security, governance, and compliance (OAuth, SAML, JWT, TLS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of technical leadership.
Preferred
Salesforce and/or integration platform certifications.
Experience with BI tools such as Tableau for reporting and analytics.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2).
Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience and documentation practices.
