We are looking for a passionate and skilled Technical Business Analyst to join our Data Analytics team This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join the team to help us shape and deliver a roadmap that will grow and develop clients analytics capabilities

This position requires an energetic and highly focused individual with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle SDLC and successful previous experience in a Technical Business Analyst or similar role

Were looking for an individual who enjoys working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders the ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical business and people skills

You will act as a translator between business data analytics and other technology teams ensuring that business requirements are translated into appropriate technical documentation to support delivery

Key responsibilities

Establish and maintain productive crossfunctional relationships with a network of IT delivery teams business stakeholders and external suppliers

2. Help client to mature and grow its Analytics Data Platform capabilities products and solutions by taking a lead role on key activities through the full project lifecycle including but not limited to

a. Maintaining a prioritised pipeline of new demand items and features requests for existing products and solutions

b. Creating and delivering content in workshops and seminars confidently present ideas concepts and solutions to technical and nontechnical audiences

c. Facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation including senior management to elicit clarify translate and document business requirements functional and nonfunctional as well as generate user stories

d. Supporting business case development through the analysis of business requirements This includes establishing standardized templates and processes for providing work effort estimates

e. Analysing and documenting business requirements and working with relevant teams to create appropriate technical documentation to facilitate the necessary governance approvals and underpin delivery of the project

f. Collaborating with a range of technical and nontechnical audiences to quality assure delivery through testing and into release ensuring the endproduct meets the documented business requirements Providing a link between product owners and the Data Analytics team throughout the development lifecycle

g. Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to feed back into the pipeline

3. Contribute to the design and delivery of proof of concept proof of technology and protype projects

4. Provide thought leadership and help to foster collaborative development

5. Identify opportunities to drive selfserve adoption of our products and services and enablement of business teams to be more selfsufficient in meeting their Data Analytics requirements

6. Supervise coach and mentor other team members

Essential Skills Expertise

1. Degree level education in a relevant subject eg data science computer science business analysis

2.Strong experience a Technical Business Analyst System Analyst Business Analyst or similar role in a related industry

3. A sound understanding of the software development lifecycle

4. Demonstrable experience of the following

a. Understanding and experience of business analysis skills techniques and practices

b. Querying reviewing and manipulating large quantities of data using Python SQL and Excel

c. Requirements elicitation both functional and nonfunctional and user story generation ideally in the context of data analytics

d. Analysing and documenting complex business processes with a strong data focus

e. Project methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile

f. The tools principles and best practices techniques appropriate to requirements gathering analysis and documentation

g. Working on Data Analytics projects

Desirable Skills Experience

5. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience of the following

a. Working in the utilities sector

b. Working with cloudbased data warehouse data lake architectures and cloud technologies relevant to Data Analytics

c. Tableau or similar data visualisation tooling

d. Artificial Intelligence AI technologies such as Machine Learning ML

e. Mentoring and coaching others

f. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations and practices

6 AWS certification for Data Analytics Solution Architect or DevOps or similar would be a distinct advantage
