About Compassion Ventures (https://compassion.ventures/)
Compassion Ventures is a next-generation venture studio and fund built on the philosophy of Creative Altruism (for context: https://creativealtruisminstitute.org/) using capital, creativity, and technology to regenerate rather than extract.
We build and invest in companies and culture-forward projects that blend profit with purpose, from climate and AI innovation (e.g., ChatGPTree) to media, storytelling, and regenerative systems design.
As we prepare to launch Fund I in 2026 ($10M target, following a $1M pilot raise from Founding LPs), we are hiring a Venture Fellow who wants to help shape a new model for compassionate venture capital.
The Role
As a Venture Fellow, you’ll operate at the center of Compassion Ventures’ ecosystem- supporting LP onboarding, consulting engagements, portfolio operations, and content creation.
You’ll work directly with the Founder and Managing Partners across four core areas:
1. Founding LP Relations & Onboarding
Support the onboarding of our first 10-50 Founding LPs
Manage pipeline, CRM, follow-ups, and communication flows
Help prepare LP update decks, impact summaries, and fundraising collateral
2. Consulting Team Support
Assist the consulting team in client communication, research, reporting, and project execution
Help maintain structure across multiple client engagements
Support internal coordination with engineering, product, and design teams
3. Portfolio Project Management
Track progress across active venture studio builds
Coordinate with internal founders, advisors, and partnering teams
Support experimental launches, early-stage validation, and cross-project operations
4. Creative Content Production (Bonus, but highly valued)
Assist with written content (updates, essays, founder stories, newsletters)
Support photo/video capture during events, showcases, or production days
Contribute to storytelling across social media, pitch decks, and brand collateral
Who You Are
A relationship-builder with strong communication skills
Passionate about VC, AI, climate innovation, philanthropy, and creativity
Hyper-organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple threads
A fast learner who loves early-stage environments and mission-driven work
Experience in VC, consulting, or creative media is a plus but not required
Preference for candidates in NYC, Seattle, or LA, but open to anyone authorized to work in the U.S.
Deep alignment with the mission of Compassion Ventures is essential
What You’ll Gain
Front-row experience launching a new venture fund from the ground up
Exposure to world-class LPs, founders, innovators, and advisors
Mentorship across venture capital, fundraising, product development, and storytelling
A dynamic role that blends commercial strategy, operations, and creativity
