Location: UK based, fully remote with travel to EMEA (50/50 split between remote working and time in EMEA)

Salary: £100,000 to £120,000 per annum.

Our client is an independent, non-profit, mission-led organisation dedicated to advancing patient safety, healthcare quality, and evidence-based decision-making. As the organisation strengthens its presence across EMEA, it is appointing a Director of Business Development to act as the strategic deputy to the VP of EMEA Operations.

The Opportunity

As Director of Business Development, you will lead efforts to expand the organisation’s presence and deliver commercial growth across consultancy services, training and education programmes, and digital/online publications.

You will:

Drive expansion and increase the organisation’s visibility and influence across the EMEA region.
Lead major client relationships, develop strategic proposals, and present confidently to senior stakeholders.
Build and execute strategic plans tailored to healthcare needs and market conditions in each EMEA territory.
Act as a senior deputy to the VP EMEA Operations, supporting leadership, operations, and complex regional delivery.
Shape new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
Oversee and mentor regional teams and sales agents.
Represent the organisation at conferences, events, and industry forums.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

A minimum of five years in a senior business development position within the healthcare ecosystem.
Demonstrable P&L responsibility – (7 figures) – with solid financial and operational leadership experience
Proven success developing and delivering strategic business development plans across EMEA.
Confident presenting proposals, insights, and commercial strategies to senior leadership.
Experience managing or operationally running a business unit.

Backgrounds of interest include:

Medical devices
Regulatory bodies (e.g., MHRA)
Commercial healthcare organisations
Healthcare media, publishing, or professional sectors (e.g., Health Service Journal, nursing-affiliated organisations)
