Position: Senior Drupal Test Engineer (US Citizen, Public Trust Eligible)
Location: 100% Remote – U.S. based only (CST/EST preferred)
Contract Length: Long-term Contract – 6–12 Months with likely extensions
Target Pay Range: $55 - $65 / Hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Work Auth: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance
About the Role:
Join a federal digital modernization initiative supporting a federal agency. This project involves migrating legacy SharePoint content into a modern, cloud-hosted Drupal environment. The Senior Test Engineer will lead testing strategy and execution across CMS platforms, data migration workflows, and federal compliance requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep experience in test automation, performance testing, and security validation.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end testing for Drupal-based CMS and SharePoint-to-cloud migration
Design and execute test plans covering functional, integration, performance, and security testing
Develop automated testing frameworks for data integrity and system performance
Coordinate user acceptance testing with federal stakeholders
Establish data validation protocols to ensure migration accuracy
Perform security testing aligned with FedRAMP/FISMA standards
Lead defect triage and resolution with development teams
Maintain detailed test documentation for compliance and audits
Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and automated testing pipelines
Communicate test progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders
Qualifications:
8+ years of professional experience, including 6+ years in software testing and 4+ years in test leadership
Strong expertise in:
CMS and data migration testing
Test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress)
Performance/load testing (e.g., Apache JMeter)
API and database testing
Agile testing methodologies and defect tracking systems
Federal compliance testing (FedRAMP, FISMA)
Accessibility testing (Section 508)
Experience coordinating testing across distributed teams
Testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, 508 Trusted Tester) strongly preferred
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) a plus
