Job Specifications

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Analyst-Banking-wealth management to support a top-tier bank with quarter-end and year-end book closings. Immediate start, ideal for candidates with strong banking experience and a solid understanding of wealth management.

Position: Financial Analyst-quarter-end and year-end book closing

Location: Toronto, ON (3-4 days Hybrid)

Duration: 6+month contract

Key Responsibilities:

Support quarter-end and year-end financial book closings.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements accurately and on schedule.
Analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, and assist with corrective actions.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
Assist with month-end reporting and perform ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Requirements:

Proven banking experience, preferably with exposure to wealth management.
Demonstrated experience with quarter-end and year-end closings and journal preparation.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with banking ERP systems is an asset.
