We have an immediate opportunity for a Java EE Developer.

You must have 5+ years of Java EE Development experience.

Our client is a Tier 1 Systems Integrator and allows for full remote work within Canada.
Hybrid - 1-2 days in office in Toronto, ON.

Role - Java EE (Java for Enterprise) Developer

Role Level - Sr. Consultant

Role Start Date - ASAP

Role End Date - 3-4 months + possible extension.

No. Hrs/Days/Week - 40 hours/week

Pay Rate - $85-100/hr CDN

Hybrid - Yes - 1-2 days in office.

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to design and implement configurable driven systems that process Order Lifecycle events for Trade Surveillance.

10+ years of relevant Compliance Transformation Implementation experience including Trade Surveillance, Trade Venue life-cycle, Conflict Management.

This role involves building robust data pipelines and alerting mechanisms, enabling surveillance platforms to monitor trading activity effectively and generate actionable insights.

Designs and builds robust ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, Databricks, or SSIS to efficiently extract, transform, and load data across platforms.
Ensures high-quality, reliable data integration to support analytics and reporting, leveraging on-premises and cloud technologies like AWS or Azure Data Factory
Develops and maintains scalable applications and data pipelines using Java and related frameworks such as Spring Boot and Apache Kafka.
Integrates backend systems and ensures efficient data processing, leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern DevOps tools for robust deployment and reliability
Design, develop and deploy workflow components using TB preferred workflow platforms and standards.

Technical Skills

Programming & Scripting
Proficient in Java for enterprise-grade application development.
Experience with Python scripting for automation, data processing, and analytics.
Experience with MQ, Kafka, REST API

Data Engineering & Analytics

Solid understanding of SQL for data querying and transformation.
Familiarity with distributed file systems such as HDFS.
Experience working with modern data platforms like Dremio, Data Mesh and Snowflake for data virtualization and cloud-based analytics.
Platform SMEs & Configuration Specialist • Specializes in configuration, In depth understanding of Trading Hub platform and its complex mathematical models • Designing and developing surveillance solutions for various asset classes leveraging the existing models
