Job Specifications

Senior Java Developer

Location: Remote

Rate: $55–65/hr on W-2 (No C2C)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Jenkins, and containerization technologies such as OpenShift or Kubernetes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a cloud-native, DevOps-driven environment and enjoys building scalable, secure, and performant applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure Java-based applications using Spring Boot

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to interpret requirements and drive technical solutions

Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins

Deploy, scale, and manage applications using OpenShift or Kubernetes

Troubleshoot complex technical issues across distributed systems

Maintain comprehensive technical documentation

Stay current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and DevOps best practices

Mentor junior developers and contribute to code quality standards

Required Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in Java development

Strong expertise with Spring Boot (2.x+)

Solid understanding of Java SE/EE and related frameworks

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, etc.)

Experience deploying and managing containerized apps on OpenShift or Kubernetes

Familiarity with cloud-native development principles, microservices architecture, service mesh, and serverless concepts

Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

Excellent team collaboration and communication skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience across multiple domains (Healthcare, Financial Services, etc.)

Additional technical tools, languages, or specialty skills
