Job Title: Windows Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise‑scale Windows Server environments (2016‑2022). Drive automation using PowerShell, oversee incident response and change management, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with IT governance, security standards, and operational policies.
Expectations:
- 5+ years of hands‑on Windows Server administration in an enterprise setting.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, IIS, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate across application, security, and operations teams in a 24x7 support model.
- Knowledge of ITIL, ServiceNow, and basic DevOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including AD, IIS, and related services.
- Lead automation initiatives with PowerShell, Terraform, SCCM, or Ansible to streamline deployment and configuration.
- Oversee production support, incident response, access management, and change control.
- Partner with application teams to design secure, scalable platform integrations.
- Conduct patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate to improve system reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance observability.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance, security policies, and operational procedures.
Required Skills:
- Windows Server (2016‑2022), Active Directory, IIS, Group Policy, PowerShell.
- Automation/orchestration experience (Terraform, SCCM, Ansible, Azure Policy).
- ITIL/ITSM tool familiarity (ServiceNow).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Azure Administrator preferred.
