Job Title: Retails Product Manager
Pay range: $70 – 77/hr.
Duration: 6 months
Location: New york, NY 10036
Hybrid – 2 days onsite
Role Mandate:
This role carries out competitive analysis, monitors product and system performance, and assesses problems to develop and implement solutions. The Product Manager has P&L accountability and manages product risks.
Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap – Continuously develop and communicate the vision to the Agile Teams, while defining the features of the system. Collaborate with Solution Architects/Engineering to define and maintain the Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) to ensure that the solution meets relevant standards and other system quality requirements. Responsible for the product roadmap, which illustrates how features are intended to be implemented over time.
• Manage and prioritize the flow of work – support the flow of work through the product backlog, responsible for ensuring enough features are always ready in the backlog.
• Participate in quarterly planning – During each quarterly planning session, Product Management presents the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming Milestones.
• Define releases and program increments - responsible for release definition, including new features, architecture, and allocations for technical debt.
• Work with Solution Architect/Engineering to understand Enabler work - Collaborate with the Solution Architect/Engineering to jointly sequence the Architectural Runway that will host new business functionality
• Explain financial results and forecast future performance.
• Drive actions to improve profitability through data-driven decisions.
• Manage risk, and support the evolution of policies, procedures, and controls.
Must-Have Skills:
• 3+ years of experience in retail product management, preferably in the financial service industry.
• Deep proficiency in Excel including advanced functions & macros.
• Strong analytical background with prior experience in PowerBI, SQL is preferred.
• Strong experience in product design, business casing, pricing, campaign management, technology project delivery, P&L and risk management.
