Job Title: Okta Engineer Architect

Location: Onsite to Alameda CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

12 + years exp – max 15 yrs

Looking for seasoned OKTA engineer at an architect level but has flexibility to provide OKTA support to end users. Should be able to drive customer initiatives single handedly through deep technical expertise and understanding of the eco system. Should be able to go beyond LOB to meet customer expectations and gain customer confidence.

Educational Qualification*

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Experience Range

10-14 Years

Primary (Must have skills)* - To be Screened by TA Team

5 years of experience in developing Okta Workflows

10 years relevant experience of Okta Integrations: Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

5 years of experience in IGA and a minimum of Two (2) years of experience in Okta IGA

Must have obtained Okta Certification: Professional, Administrator, Consultant or Technical Architect

Job Description of Role* (RNR) - To be Evaluated by Technical Panel (Define it to give more clarity)

- Implementation of Okta integrations (SAML, OIDC, etc)

- Okta Administration and Configuration

- Experience with other IAM solutions beyond Okta

- Knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices (AWS, Azure, etc.)

- Understanding of identity federation protocols such as SAML, OAuth, SCIM and OpenID Connect.

- Experience with Okta API integrations and System Administration

- Troubleshooting and providing ongoing support and troubleshooting for Okta IAM solutions with application owners and end users.

- Providing technical expertise and guidance on Okta st practices, security standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).

- Configure advanced policies for SSO, MFA, contextual access, and risk-based authentication.

- Monitor system health, resolve issues, and optimize Okta performance and reliability.

- Evaluate new IAM technologies to enhance the Okta ecosystem and improve security posture.

- Developing and maintaining documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

- Perform feasibility analyses and provide recommendations for future system enhancements.

- Guide and mentor junior engineers on Okta implementation, IAM best practices, and secure design principles.

- Flexible to work occasionally after-hours and/or weekend work based on mission priorities- .
