About the Role

We are seeking an OT project manager (Freelance) to lead strategic projects at our client, integrating IoT and digital solutions across building and rolling stock environments. This is a unique opportunity to architect and implement secure, high-performance connected systems that will drive digital transformation and energy sustainability. What You’ll Be Doing

Defining and implementing the mapping of IoT components, including sensors, gateways, platforms, applications, and cloud solutions
Designing network and software architectures tailored to business needs, with a focus on building energy management (smart meters) and vehicle systems
Integrating IoT devices into existing infrastructures and systems
Designing and optimizing data flows for connected solutions
Ensuring compliance and security of IoT solutions in line with industry standards and protocols
Evaluating and comparing technological solutions available on the market
Developing and executing integration plans, including compatibility testing between systems
Supporting multidisciplinary project teams in the implementation of IoT solutions
Promoting architectural standards and best practices across the organization
Conducting active technological monitoring of innovations in IoT and cybersecurity
Optimizing the performance and energy sustainability of connected systems

Technical Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Solution Architect or OT project manager in IoT, digital transformation, or related fields
Strong background in cloud technologies and data & services architecture
Experience with IT project management and multidisciplinary team coordination
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and protocols (junior level or above)
Experience in the transportation sector and/or facility & energy management is highly valued
Ability to evaluate, compare, and implement cutting-edge IoT solutions
Familiarity with integration planning, compatibility testing, and performance optimization

Language Proficiency

Active knowledge of Dutch or French required
English is a plus

Other Requirements

Freelance position with a fixed 7-month project duration
Hybrid work model (on-site and remote)
Ability to work within public procurement frameworks
Immediate availability is an advantage
