Salesforce Solution Lead - £70,000 + Benefits
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week from home)
We're looking for a talented and driven Salesforce Solution Lead to take ownership of Salesforce solution design, delivery, and platform health within a large, fast-moving environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both building and guiding, balancing technical excellence with collaboration and continuous improvement.
As part of an agile engineering community, you'll play a key part in shaping and maintaining the Salesforce ecosystem and its integration with wider enterprise systems, ensuring best practice, high performance, and ongoing platform evolution.
What you'll do
Design, develop, and deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions that meet coding, performance, and security standards.
Provide production support investigating and resolving incidents, ensuring platform stability and reliability.
Use a mix of low-code (Flows, declarative tools) and custom development (Apex, Lightning Web Components) to deliver business solutions.
Develop and maintain batch jobs, triggers, and custom components.
Champion quality through automated testing, design reviews, and continuous improvement practices.
Collaborate closely with developers, admins, and stakeholders to drive shared learning and best practice adoption.
Take collective ownership for the Salesforce platform, proactively improving performance and availability.
Estimate and plan solution delivery activities accurately within an agile framework.
What you'll bring
Proven experience in a similar Salesforce engineering or solution leadership role.
Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator (or equivalent experience).
Hands-on experience across the Salesforce ecosystem - ideally including Financial Services Cloud.
Strong understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Salesforce best practices.
Expertise with Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, Lightning Web Components, Triggers, and Azure DevOps.
A passion for continuous learning - whether through blogging, open-source contributions, or tech community involvement.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work across diverse teams.
A growth mindset and curiosity to innovate and find optimal technical solutions.
