Avanciers is a premier IT Staffing/Consulting organization and we are currently recruiting for a long term contract role for one of our premier client in Canada for Network Architect with (Transformation and Modernization experience).

This is Hybrid role and client is actively hiring for this position.

Role – Network Architect

Location: Ottawa ON (Hybrid)

Security Clearance: Reliability or Secret

This senior-level role requires a seasoned network professional with 10+ years of experience to lead the strategy, design, and execution of comprehensive network modernization and security transformation programs. The successful candidate will be the primary driver for aligning network infrastructure with enterprise cloud and automation goals.

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Roadmapping and Leadership: Collaborate with IT leadership to define and champion the network modernization roadmap and strategic objectives. This includes assessing the current network infrastructure, identifying key technical and operational baselines, and identifying gaps against modernization requirements.
Program and Vendor Management: Manage cross-functional teams of network engineers and external vendors, ensuring all network projects are delivered on time, within budget, and align with business requirements prioritized by impact and feasibility.
Design and Optimization Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end design, deployment, and optimization of modern solutions focusing on cloud networking, network automation, and security enhancements.
Governance and Documentation: Ensure strict compliance with all security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including detailed network architectures, processes, procedures, and supporting diagrams and inventories.
Operational Excellence and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Implement proactive measures to monitor network performance, ensure high availability and reliability, and continuously evaluate new technologies for future improvement.

Comprehensive analysis of Gaps to Modernization Requirements.
Consolidated Business Requirements prioritized by impact and feasibility.
