On behalf of our client, a leading organization driving innovation through data and cloud technologies, we're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking team where you'll play a key role in optimizing and automating modern data platforms that enable advanced analytics and AI solutions.
Your Mission
As part of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for the continuous improvement, administration, and optimization of Snowflake and Databricks environments.
Your work will directly impact performance, scalability, and the overall user experience by focusing on automation, infrastructure efficiency, and cost management.
You will:
Administer and enhance Snowflake and Databricks platforms to ensure reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
Automate deployment and operations, helping the team move faster and with greater consistency.
Design and implement technical solutions for new initiatives or product enhancements.
Troubleshoot complex issues, conduct root cause analysis, and lead the implementation of corrective actions.
Lead proof-of-concept projects, validating innovative approaches to data and infrastructure management.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or GitLab.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and AI specialists to deliver robust and secure solutions.
Monitor systems proactively, identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
5-8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally focused on data, ML, or AI platforms.
Strong experience in Snowflake and Databricks administration and optimization.
Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, GitLab).
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in dynamic, cloud-based environments.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with other Data/AI platforms such as SageMaker or Bedrock is a strong asset.
