Organization: Mercor

Position: Software Engineering Expert

Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $50–$150/hour, paid daily via Stripe Connect

Location: Remote

Commitment: Part-time (10–40 hours/week), project duration 1–2 months

Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided)

Review and refine AI-generated prompts, code, and responses for technical accuracy and clarity
Validate algorithms and software concepts for correctness
Provide structured feedback on solution quality and improve model benchmarking
Tag and organize content by topic, difficulty, and programming language
Support the research team’s benchmarking initiatives to assess and advance model capabilities

Requirements

Strong experience in software engineering, technical research, or educational content development
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
Strong proficiency in popular programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, etc.)
Expertise in debugging, testing, and code validation
Technical writing skills and attention to detail
