Job Specifications

Position: Python Software Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (EST time zone)

Contract Duration: 6 Month Contract (FTE conversion possible)

Visa: USC or Green Card Only

Overview:

This role will play a key part in modernizing our backend systems by converting legacy Java services into Python-based microservices.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both Python and Java and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment during the transition

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in Python development.
2+ years of experience working with Java in a backend or service-oriented architecture.
Strong experience with API development and web services.
Experience with event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka
Proficiency with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Solid understanding of RESTful principles and API lifecycle management.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git).
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, Google Spanner).
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
