We are seeking a visionary and experienced Technology Lead to institutionalize a robust in-house technology function for a period of 12 months.

You will drive the agile solution design, deployment & ongoing optimisation & evolution. This client offers enterprise wide technology products and services (full stack engineering & ownership / control) in complex environments. This role demands a combination of technical depth and leadership excellence

Key Responsibilities:
• You will head up the RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement) payments team
• You will use your extensive experience in real-time payments infrastructure and RTGS systems.
• You will guide the organization to become product-led, embedding technology and innovation at the core of internal operations and external solutions.

Requirements:
• 8-10 years Information Technology experience
• Relevant B-Degree in Computer Science OR; equivalent level of industry certification in Technical field
• Experience working in a Payments or RTGS payments environment
• Banking and or Corporate Investment Banking experience
• Understanding or prior experience working with SWIFT payments
• Experience implementing payment solutions across multiple African countries
• A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering scalable payment infrastructure
• Proficiency with full-stack development frameworks
• A growth mindset with an ability to scale systems, processes and teams from MVP to full deployment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
