About the Role

My client is looking for a friendly, motivated Software Developer to join their IT Development team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience who enjoys solving problems, building useful tools, and helping to support the systems they use.

You’ll be working mainly with .NET WebForms (in either C# or VB.NET), along with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and plenty of SQL. You’ll help us create new features and also look after some of our long-running systems that are important to the wider business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building new features and improvements to existing systems.
Working with WebForms (C# or VB.NET) to support and develop our existing applications.
Writing and maintaining SQL queries and working with SQL Server databases.
Fixing problems, improving performance, and keeping their systems running smoothly.
Working closely with other developers, testers, and the wider team to deliver helpful, reliable solutions.
Sharing ideas and suggesting improvements.

What they are Looking For

At least 2 years’ experience as a software developer.
Confidence working with .NET WebForms (C# or VB.NET).
Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end development.
Experience writing SQL and working with SQL Server.
Someone who enjoys problem-solving and improving existing code.
Ability to work independently when needed, but also happy working as part of a team.

It Would Be Great (But Not Essential) If You Also Have:

Some experience with React and Tailwind.
Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Experience working with APIs or web services.
Some understanding of UI/UX.
Experience working in an Agile team.
