This role is ideal for a creative web designer with a passion for soulful, dog-loving brands. You will be responsible for completing and refining a Squarespace website for a small business that blends dried flowers, creativity, and canine enthusiasm. The site is currently one-third finished using a Squarespace template and requires a professional touch to achieve visual consistency, integrate the brand’s colour palette, and ensure all images are well-organized and aligned with the design vision. You will collaborate closely with the business owner to request and add necessary copy, ensuring the website reflects the joyful and welcoming personality of the brand. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with small, creative businesses and can bring warmth and cohesion to a digital presence.

Deliverables

Complete the remaining two-thirds of the Squarespace website, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing design throughout all pages
Integrate the brand’s colour palette and ensure consistent application across the site
Organize and fit images to the design, maintaining high visual standards and alignment with the brand’s style
Request and incorporate required copy from the business owner as needed
Ensure the website accurately reflects the brand’s creative, dog-loving, and joyful personality
Provide recommendations for further improvements to enhance user experience and brand storytelling

Requirements

Proven experience designing and building websites using Squarespace
Strong eye for design, colour, and visual consistency
Ability to organize and optimize images for web use
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients
Appreciation for creative, soulful brands and an understanding of the target audience
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within agreed timelines
Familiarity with small business needs and sensitivity to budget constraints
Availability for potential follow-up work as the brand grows
