Job Description – SAP Functional Analyst (Senior)

Location: Belgium

Language: Dutch (C2 – Native Level)

Remote Work: 2 days/week (2/5 WFH)

Start Date: 01 Nov 2025

Duration: 18 months

Role Overview – SAP Business Analyst SD/CS

The City of Ghent and its affiliated entities (OCMW Ghent, emergency response zone, Ghent Police, and other connected organizations) are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst SD/CS to support ongoing and upcoming digital transformation initiatives. The consultant will lead functional analysis, configuration, and decision-making for various SAP projects.

Key Project Streams

• Product Management – SAP Functional Module Support (SD/CS) for Sales & Invoicing

• S/4HANA Program – Fiori Phase 2 Implementation

• Implementation of a New Payment Platform

• Finance Transition Workstream – Invoicing

• Logistics Housing POD – Internal Invoicing

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• Proven experience as an SAP SD Functional Analyst/Configurator in an S/4HANA environment

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working with large, business-critical applications

• Strong ability to analyze customer needs and optimize processes using SAP SD & CS

• Experience within technical environments relevant to SAP projects

• Dutch language: native-level proficiency (CEFR C2)

Should-Have

• Experience as an SAP CS Analyst/Configurator in S/4HANA

• Experience documenting processes in Receipts (Ontvangsten) domain

• Hands-on experience with S/4 Fiori – Spaces, Pages & Authorization Concepts

• SAP Debugging knowledge

• Experience with SAP integrations: IDoc, BAPI, Integration Suite

• Experience with BI reporting linkages

• Understanding of analysis/design concepts in OO, multi-tier, web-enabled, UML environments

• Broad knowledge of SAP OTC processes and related modules (FI/CO/FM, MM, PM, etc.)

• Basic SAP ABAP knowledge

• Knowledge of data and process modelling
