Role Description
This is a full-time, onsite role based in San Diego, CA for a Full Stack Engineer. In this role, you will work across the full stack—from frontend UI to backend services—to design, build, and maintain production-grade web applications that power our AI products.
You will collaborate closely with founders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, user-friendly systems using modern web technologies (React/Vue, Node.js/Express, etc.). You will also help with deployment and basic DevOps, troubleshoot technical issues, participate in code reviews, and ensure system performance and reliability meet our standards.
This role requires in-person interviews and long-term onsite work in San Diego. We welcome outstanding new graduates, especially those eager to grow quickly in a fast-paced AI startup environment.
Qualifications
Required
Able to work full-time onsite in San Diego, CA on a long-term basis
Willing and able to attend in-person interviews in San Diego
Hands-on experience with full-stack development, including:
Frontend: modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js (strongly preferred)
Backend: Node.js / Express or similar frameworks
Familiarity with common engineering tools and workflows, including Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Solid understanding of web fundamentals (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, responsive design)
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to learn independently and quickly ramp up on new technologies
Fluent in both Chinese and English, including technical reading and day-to-day communication
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Available to start soon / on short notice is a plus
Outstanding New Grads are welcome and will be given priority consideration
Preferred
Strong self-motivation, ownership mindset, and genuine passion for learning and building products; eager to grow together with the company
Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to work closely with managers and cross-functional teams, not just “code in a corner”
Familiarity with modern Large Language Models (LLMs) and Computer Vision (CV); research experience, publications, or related projects are a strong plus
Comfortable working in Linux environments, including command-line usage and basic system operations
Experience with server deployment and maintenance (e.g., configuring services, monitoring, basic troubleshooting)
Experience with large model pre-training, fine-tuning, or inference deployment on real workloads
Solid end-to-end full-stack experience, capable of owning the complete flow from frontend UI to backend business logic and integration with AI services
Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment, where you’ve had to wear multiple hats and take initiative
