Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their Cyber Security Business Analyst @ 100 % Remote Working, UK

We are seeking a skilled Security Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security technologies, tooling and processes. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to analyse security requirements, identify gaps, and drive the successful implementation of security solutions that enhance our organization's overall security posture.

Duties and Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their security needs and objectives.
Elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to gather comprehensive security requirements.
Security Tools Evaluation and Implementation:
Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and other relevant solutions.
Assist in the design, configuration, and deployment of security tools and technologies.
Ensure that security tools are integrated effectively with existing systems and workflows.
Process Improvement:
Analyse current security processes and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and propose solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
Document and communicate process changes to relevant stakeholders.
Document Service design requirements and support in building Target Operating Models.
Reporting and Documentation:
Create reports and dashboards to track the performance and effectiveness of security tools.
Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Prepare and deliver presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on security tools and processes.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.
Compliance and Security Standards:
Ensure that security tools and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
Assist in audits and assessments related to security tool implementations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM ) are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in cyber Security.
Proficiency in analysing and documenting security requirements and processes.
Strong understanding of IT security principles, threat management, and incident response.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
