Location: New York

Contract/5 days onsite

Must Have: Banking Client exp

Professional Summary:

Experienced Cybersecurity & IT Compliance professional with 9+ years spanning cyber governance, regulatory requirements, information security controls, and cross-functional project execution.
Demonstrated experience supporting and leading regulatory compliance efforts—including NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500, enterprise cyber governance programs, and security transformation initiatives.
Adept at working across departments to coordinate attestation cycles, track remediation progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with standards, policies, and regulatory expectations.
Recognized for strong attention to detail, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls and roadmaps.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in information technology / computer science / engineering (or equivalent)
8+ years' experience in IT, cybersecurity, and governance-risk-compliance (GRC) project management
Strong background in regulatory cybersecurity compliance, especially NYDFS 23 NYCRR Part 500
Expertise in information security frameworks, policies, control implementation and validation
Clear and effective communicator with experience presenting to executives, auditors, and regulators
Skilled at partnering with SMEs, GRC, Risk, IT, and Legal to align compliance initiatives
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation abilities

Preferred:

ISACA CISA certification
PMP certification or equivalent project management background
