Job Specifications

Quantive has a role for a trilingual (fluent in Dutch, French and English) senior network engineer in Brussels. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required as well as experience in the following technologies: Cisco AnyConnect, RSA, Cisco switching and routing, Fortinet firewalls and Fortinet Manager. Additionally, strong experience with network equipment, daily management and incident resolution is mandatory as is hands-on experience with migration and upgrading projects. Finally, experience working in large enterprise networks is a must. Experience with Agile is a plus.

This is role is open to freelancers only. No visa sponsorship. 50% on site presence required as well as a 24/7 on-call rotation (one week every six weeks).

Responsibilities

Manage and support the Remote Access (RA) system including Cisco AnyConnect for remote workers.
Maintain the RA architecture and update ASA Firepower infrastructure.
Act as the subject-matter expert for remote access technologies.
Collaborate with colleagues in Belgium and within a broader shared support team.
Support and maintain specific network assets and services as part of secondary responsibilities.
Participate in daily management of remote access services (Cisco AnyConnect).
Understand business needs and translate them into effective IT solutions.
Manage and monitor all related assets using available monitoring tools.
Troubleshoot complex incidents and follow up via ServiceNow.
Understand network topologies and device functionalities within the team.
Apply system updates to address vulnerabilities and meet regulatory requirements.
Present and explain changes during local and group-level change management meetings.
Update and maintain as-built design documentation.
Participate in daily management of Fortinet firewalls with local management stations.
Support daily management of Fortinet firewalls and switches via FortiCloud.
Maintain the Fortinet VPN and EMS solution used by clients.
