About The Role
We are seeking a Manager Networking Operations and Engineering to oversee the planning, management, and optimization of enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This role ensures the delivery of secure, high-performing, and reliable network services that support clinical, business, and communication applications. The Manager will lead a technical team, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous improvement across network operations while aligning infrastructure with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the Network Management and Operations department to ensure continuous performance of critical systems
Plan, deploy, and manage lifecycle processes for network infrastructure, standards, upgrades, and operational programs
Define and execute network strategy, including optimization, redesigns, and migrations
Monitor emerging technologies, assess risks, and recommend adoption strategies
Ensure secure, high-availability systems in a 24/7 environment
Collaborate with IT leadership, departments, and business units to align infrastructure with organizational needs
Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including periodic testing
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and service level agreements
Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and cost-optimization strategies
Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing technical team; provide coaching, career development, and performance evaluations
Promote customer service excellence by delivering responsive, high-quality support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5–7 years of IT management or professional experience supporting network infrastructure (healthcare experience preferred)
Proven success in large, complex organizations with high availability requirements
Expertise in network infrastructure, architecture, and protocols (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points, firewalls, and appliances)
Experience with network automation, patch management, application delivery, monitoring, and cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure preferred)
Strong knowledge of healthcare information systems (Epic, Cerner), cybersecurity, and clinical operations
Skilled in technology evaluation, building consensus, and defining technical standards
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse technical teams across multiple projects
Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Commitment to customer service, continuous improvement, and innovation
