A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics

Job Overview

The System Administrator will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and skills in cybersecurity to protect our systems and data from potential threats.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration:

Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software.
Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
Backup and restore data to ensure data integrity and availability.
Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s information assets
Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices to continuously improve security posture.

Compliance And Documentation

Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and security measures.
Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and system usage.

Collaboration And Support

Work closely with other IT staff to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role 2-3 years.
Strong experience in cybersecurity practices and technologies.
Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Skills:
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows) and server management.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, O365) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
