Your Role:

Reporting to the Director IT & IS, the Technical Services Officer is responsible for the planning, implementation, and oversight of technical projects and tasks within the organization. They use their specialized knowledge to provide technical guidance, troubleshoot technical issues and ensure the smooth running of the IT Service operation.

The duties and responsibilities of the IT System/Network Administrator include:

Planning and executing technical projects and operations as required.
Providing technical guidance and support to team members and other departments
Performing regular checks and maintenance on technical systems and equipment
Creating and maintaining technical documents and records for reference and reporting
Coordinating with external technical experts and service providers as necessary
Oversee the installation and maintenance of infrastructure components, including servers, switches, firewalls, wifi access points, and other technology-based infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and address hardware and software issues.
Manage and update IT databases and systems for optimal performance.
Prepare reports on hardware and software issues.
Ensure data is handled, transferred or processed according to legal and organization guidelines.
Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware and software, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify problems and implement effective and sustainable solutions.
Strong time and project management skills to oversee the installation of technology systems and infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills to be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical staff.
Detail-oriented to ensure all aspects of work are completed to a high standard.
Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with other departments and teams.
Understanding of information security principles to protect the organization’s data and information systems.
The ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and changing situations.
Relevant professional certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNA, or CompTIA A+ are required.
Exposure to Fortinet, Aruba, and Dell components are desirable.
