Software Engineer III – RPA Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – Onsite Mon & Tue, Remote Wed–Fri)
Duration: 9 Months + possible extension
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (RPA Developer) to join the Automation team supporting mission-critical applications. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using Blue Prism, Power Automate, and Azure services.
This is a hands-on senior developer position suited for someone with strong RPA expertise, deep understanding of web technologies, and experience integrating automations with APIs and databases.
The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain RPA automations using Blue Prism and Power Automate.
Analyze business processes and convert requirements into automation workflows.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing bots, including debugging HTTP responses and UI/DOM-related issues.
Develop integrations using REST APIs and database connections (SQL/NoSQL).
Collaborate with team members, product owners, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Support automation infrastructure within Azure and provide technical improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering/RPA development
4+ years of hands-on experience with Blue Prism
Strong experience with HTML, JavaScript, DOM, and HTTP protocol
Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience building and consuming RESTful services
Preferred Skills
Experience with API development
Understanding of process discovery and RPA solution architecture
Programming experience in C#, Java, or Python
Experience supporting cloud environments (Azure)
Experience with Agile development teams
Experience with Power Automate
Blue Prism Certification and/or Power Platform Certification
Prior experience working with Health & Human Services programs (nice to have)
Work Environment
Hybrid: Onsite Mondays & Tuesdays; Remote Wednesday–Friday
