About Lawbrokr:

Lawbrokr is a legal marketing platform that helps law firms convert more leads by modernizing their online intake experience. We work with marketing teams, operations, and intake staff to improve lead quality, increase conversion rates, and create a better client experience.

We’re building tools that simplify marketing workflows, improve attribution, and drive better decision-making for law firms. As we continue expanding our product suite, engineering is at the center of everything we do.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who enjoys building at a high level of ownership and velocity. You’ll work directly with the founder, collaborate closely with design and product, and help shape the next generation of Lawbrokr’s platform. This role supports everything from core product development to integrations, analytics, and new AI-powered marketing tools.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of new React-based products, reporting directly to the founders and having a significant influence on product direction.
Champion code quality, best practices, and system performance by implementing and advocating for robust testing strategies.
Maintain and enhance our existing Ruby on Rails application (prior Rails experience is a bonus; we will provide on-the-job training for the right candidate).
Collaborate closely with our UI/UX designer to translate concepts from Figma into functional, reusable components, potentially using tools like Storybook.
Act as the key technical bridge between our backend/AI systems (built in Python) and the customer-facing product, reporting to the CTO in regular standups.
Help define and improve our engineering standards, tooling, and processes as the team grows.
Assist with the technical aspects of client onboarding, such as configuring 3rd-party integrations and analytics.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience with React, particularly with large-scale applications and managing their evolution.
Strong passion for frontend development, with demonstrable experience in UI/UX principles, responsive design, and mobile-first support.
Proficiency with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first CSS frameworks.
Full-stack development experience, with a solid understanding of the entire web development process.
Proven experience in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Proficiency with PostgreSQL or similar relational SQL databases.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and software deployment practices (CI/CD).
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a hybrid/remote team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and advance your skillset.

Nice-to-have Skills:

Full-stack framework experience (Ruby on Rails is a significant plus; Django, Laravel, or equivalents are also valued).
Experience with Python, our preferred language for backend services, APIs, scripting, and AI.
Experience integrating with third-party platforms and APIs.
Experience translating complex designs from Figma (or similar tools) into high-quality code.
Familiarity with component library tools (e.g., Storybook, Ladle).
Experience with transactional email services (e.g., Sendgrid, Postmark).
Experience with web analytics and marketing API integrations (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel).

Why Join Lawbrokr:

Work directly with a founder-led team solving a real pain point in the legal industry
Be part of a growing startup with clear upward mobility
Hybrid work at Toronto Downtown Office or Remote
Competitive salary
