Commercial Sales Partner

Position Overview
The Commercial Sales Partner serves as FreeGame’s primary expert in translating recovery science, clinical best practices, and performance technology into clear, actionable solutions for institutional partners. This individual brings strong clinical literacy, the ability to evaluate wellness and recovery products with a scientific lens, and the communication skill to guide athletic trainers, sports medicine leaders, and performance teams toward evidence-aligned adoption. While commercial success remains critical, this role is equally defined by its clinical credibility; acting as an advisor, evaluator, educator, and trusted resource for programs navigating an increasingly complex recovery and wellness landscape.
Minimum 8 years of experience required in sports medicine, medical device, wellness technology, physical therapy, athletic performance, or clinically adjacent sales environments.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Insight & Product Evaluation
Evaluate recovery and wellness technologies for safety, efficacy, application, and scientific validity.
Review clinical data, studies, product claims, and supporting documentation to ensure alignment with evidence-based practices.
Identify gaps, risks, or red flags in product positioning and communicate findings to internal teams and clients.
Translate technical product functionality into accessible explanations for coaches, trainers, athletic directors, and administrators.
Institutional Education & Advisory Support
Serve as a trusted resource to athletic departments, sports medicine units, strength staffs, and wellness centers.
Lead educational demonstrations and discussions around recovery science, athlete wellness, protocols, and outcomes.
Present data-driven insights such as ROI expectations, wellness metrics, recovery markers, and use-case benefits to inform institutional decisions.
Support implementation by ensuring teams understand proper use, safety guidelines, and expected performance impacts.
Strategic Brand & Technology Vetting
Participate in internal evaluation of new technologies or brand partners under consideration by FreeGame.
Provide clinical perspective when assessing scientific validity, operational suitability, or market readiness of potential offerings.
Offer structured feedback to partner brands to improve product design, functionality, and deployment strategies.
Market Intelligence & Field Feedback
Gather insights from sports medicine programs, clinical leaders, and performance teams to identify unmet needs and key trends.
Provide structured recommendations to internal product and partnership teams based on real-world use cases.
Serve as an informed sounding board for both FreeGame and institutional partners as they navigate emerging performance-wellness technologies.
Commercial Execution with Clinical Integrity
Manage a targeted pipeline across universities, wellness facilities, recovery centers, and athletic departments.
Lead needs assessments that prioritize clinical outcomes, safety considerations, and operational feasibility.
Develop proposals and presentations that combine scientific credibility with commercial value.
Support negotiation and closing processes with a focus on long-term fit and efficacy, not transactional sales.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 8 years of experience in medical device, sports medicine, physical therapy, athletic performance, recovery technology, or wellness-focused sales.
Strong understanding of recovery science, human performance, and evidence-based wellness practices.
Ability to interpret and communicate clinical research, product data, and scientific claims.
Experience educating or presenting to clinical and performance professionals.
Skilled in consultative selling with senior-level stakeholders.
Highly organized, polished communicator with strong executive presence.
