Manufacturing Process Engineer

Location: Washington, BAE Systems

Duration: 12 months

Hourly Rate: £33 PAYE or £44.40 Umbrella

Working Arrangements: Full time on site

We’re looking for a Process Engineer to support the development of new and existing manufacturing processes, from early concept through to commissioning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with technical teams and delivering robust, efficient processes.

What You’ll Do

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to meet customer, quality and cost expectations.
Support process stability using recognised engineering and lean methodologies.
Work with suppliers to specify and introduce new equipment.
Provide technical input to projects, reviews and process improvement activities.
Present process updates and KPIs to stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

A strong technical and manufacturing background.
Ability to prioritise work and deliver to deadlines.
Experience of materials processing (advantageous).
Qualification: HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical or equivalent).
Desirable: IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH Certificate.
