A growing, data-driven organisation is hiring an Azure Data Engineer to help design and maintain cloud data platforms that power analytics and AI. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building robust, production-grade data solutions and collaborating with stakeholders to turn data into value.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and maintain scalable Azure data platforms (Data Lake, SQL DB, Synapse, Fabric)
Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Databricks/Spark, Python and SQL
Develop data ingestion, transformation and enrichment solutions for BI and data science needs
Ensure data quality, monitoring and alerting to maintain reliable pipelines
Apply DevOps best practices using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep/Terraform)
Translate business requirements into technical deliverables and data products

Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with the Azure data stack (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, etc.)
Strong Python and SQL skills
Proven experience building data pipelines at scale
Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI or equivalent)
Solid understanding of data modelling, warehousing and pipeline orchestration
Experience with DevOps/CI-CD and IaC tooling (Azure DevOps, Bicep, Terraform or similar)
Able to act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) preferred
