€1,200/day

Role Overview

For our client, we are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the organisation’s cybersecurity strategy and governance framework. The CISO will oversee enterprise information security, risk management, compliance, and operational resilience. Working closely with senior leadership, the CISO will ensure that the client’s security posture continuously evolves in line with EU standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a CISO or senior cybersecurity leader in medium-to-large organisations.
Strong background in governance, risk management, and security compliance frameworks.
Solid technical understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), security architecture, and incident response.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCISO, ISO 27001 LI/LA) are advantageous.
Strong familiarity with EU cybersecurity regulations and security expectations in Belgium.
Fluency in Dutch or English
