Join a top employer and advance your career. Aplin has partnered with a Halifax, NS-based company to hire an Administrative Assistant. This will be a 1-month contract with the potential for an extension! 

Benefits & Perks:
Compensation: $20 to $23/hour.
Please note, this will be a fully on-site role at the client’s Halifax, NS office.
Immediate Start.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities:
Work with Purchasers to get Purchase Orders submitted to vendors in a timely manner and in accordance with PO policy.
Set up new vendors in the system and communicate with vendors where needed.
Assist a team of 6 with administrative tasks.
Review invoices for accuracy and receive invoices through Oracle.
Work with the Accounts Payable team to get invoices processed in a timely manner and reach out to vendors for missing invoices or corrections when needed.
Regularly review how reports are being produced and maintained, looking for ways to streamline and improve efficiencies in reporting.
Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to inquiries.
Manage office supplies inventory and reorder as needed.
Qualifications:
A Degree or Diploma in Business, Accounting, or Administration is an asset.
Must be proficient in MS Office, including Excel, and with Oracle is an asset.
Must have over 3 years of Administration experience with some exposure to accounting (invoices, POs, AP, AR).
Must have excellent communication and multitasking skills.
