Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cloud Analyst to support cloud operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization across cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone early in their cloud or IT career who wants hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Operations & Monitoring
Monitor cloud systems, services, and infrastructure for performance, uptime, and availability
Respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and escalate incidents when necessary
Assist with log analysis and root-cause investigations
Support the implementation of security and compliance controls
Configuration & Administration
Help provision and configure cloud resources (compute, storage, networking, databases, etc.)
Maintain documentation around architecture, configurations, and procedures
Support identity and access management (IAM) tasks
Assist with updates, patching, and routine maintenance activities
Optimization & Cost Management
Analyze cloud usage and help identify opportunities to optimize resources
Support cost-monitoring and reporting
Recommend improvements for scalability, performance, and efficiency
Automation & Tools
Work with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools or automation scripts under guidance
Assist in integrating monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
Support DevOps processes and CI/CD pipeline maintenance where applicable
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or related field
0–2 years of hands-on experience with cloud technologies (internships, labs, or personal projects count)
Technical Skills
Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider:
AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch)
Azure (VMs, Storage, Azure AD, Monitor)
Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, IAM)
Additional useful skills:
Understanding of networking basics (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS)
Experience with Linux or Windows server environments
Basic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Exposure to Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools is an asset
